Graduation Toolkit

The Texas Education Agency (TEA) Graduation Toolkit is a resource designed to help students, parents, and educators navigate the requirements and options for earning a high school diploma in Texas. The toolkit provides information on the state's graduation plan, and outlines the following key components:

  4. Performance Acknowledgments
  5. Career Planning



The toolkit is a helpful guide for making informed decisions about course selection and graduation pathways. It’s available online through the Texas Education Agency website and can also be obtained through schools and counselors. For clarity on your student's plan, schedule, or pathway please contact your student's counselor.


College and Career Exploration and Resources

ACT - The ACT is a standardized test used for college admissions and scholarship opportunities. It assesses academic readiness in English, math, reading and science, and has an optional writing test.


SAT - The SAT is a standardized test to evaluate college readiness in reading, writing and math. Many universities use SAT scores as part of their admissions process.

FAFSA - Free Application for Federal Student Aid. Apply for financial aid for college, career school, or graduate school here.


Big Future - A free online planning guide that helps all students prepare their next steps after high school. Explore careers, find colleges, and discover ways to pay for college.
