Without any warning, state funding to the Katherine Anne Porter School was cut by 14% in July 2007. In August 2007, state funding was cut by ANOTHER 20%. TOTAL CUTS TO KAPS AMOUNT TO $28,000!
State funding accounts for more than 80 percent of KAPS’ revenue.
You can help. Please contact your local senator or representative - let them know what funding cuts are doing to charter schools such as KAPS, and ask them to support charter schools by repealing such cuts.
